I grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California at Berkeley where I found my tribe in the Art Department. Ever the hopeless romantic, I followed my heart clear across the country and ultimately received my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I have made Asheville my home since 1998 (amazing how time flies)!

Other than photography, I am passionate about advocating for women and girls around the world and am a chapter leader for Dining for Women (http://diningforwomen.org/) in Asheville. I care deeply about sustainability, and love travel adventures with my family (we recently returned from an epic adventure to Bolivia). I love to cook, make art, write poetry, score vintage fashion finds at the local Goodwill and savor moments with my incredible children Sergio and Valencia and my husband Drew.
