I grew up in Southern California and attended the University of California at Berkeley where I found my tribe in the Art Department. Ever the hopeless romantic, I followed my heart clear across the country and ultimately received my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I have made Asheville my home since 1998 (amazing how time flies)!

Other than photography, I am passionate about: sustainability, traveling internationally (I am drawn to Latin American culture), fine food (local and organic if possible), nature’s raw beauty and power (particularly weather, rivers, and oceans), conceptual art (Christo and Jean-Claude are among my favorite artists), all types of music from Willie Nelson to Marc Anthony (I am currently taking violin/fiddle lessons from the Asheville Music School), and savoring moments with my incredible children Sergio and Valencia and my husband Drew.

I am very proud to be a certified green photographer with Greener Photography (one of 4 in the state). Please click here to learn more and read my Environmental Policy Statement.
